Freedom will not come from Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Atheism, Agnosticism, Paganism, or Nihilism.
It will not come from politics, ideology, dogma, belief or from academia.
It will not come from finances, or adoration, or fame.
It will not come from beauty, or status or interest.
It will not come from recognition.
Nor will it come from recklessness and chaos.
It will not come from artistry, or friendship, or laughter.
It will not come from pain, sorrow or death.
It does not come from youth, and it does not arrive at old age.
It cannot be grasped, held, reached for.
Once it is reached for, it is gone.
It will not come from replication or imitation.
It cannot be taught, bought or sought.
Freedom only comes when the fires of your own alchemy, the flames of your own change and transformation are stoked by you and you alone.
It cannot be given to you.
Your freedom is your own responsibility. You have to work it out yourself.
And it is a responsibility you owe to the whole world.
